Flight Facilities have released their first single in over a year, named, 'Lights Up' featuring vibe connoisseur Channel Tres.

Oooo baby they're back! This morning ARIA award winning duo Flight Facilities have released their sun soaked new single, 'Lights Up' featuring vibe connoisseur Channel Tres. It's the first track released in over a year by the applauded songwriters. Flight Facilities are known for their ability to create timeless, genre defying moments packed tightly a subtle coat of nostalgia and 'Lights Up' is a direct continuation of this philosophy. If it ain't broke, don't fix it am I right?

'Lights Up' perfectly toes the line between 90s Detroit house and West-Coast hip hop. A ramming bass line, sexy ASMR like vocal delivery, and those god damn slick keys combine to create an undisputed dance floor filler. When the string sections enter the mix the track reaches full flight, reaching the perfect confluence of feeling and style. It's as cool as the glorified West-Coast Californian grandiose lifestyle that it's inspired by and as hot as an early January Australian summer festival stage.

Hugo Gruzman and Jimmy Lyell say of the track and collaboration with Channel Tres, “We’ve always loved the sound of the early Detroit House scene that crossed over with the Paradise Garage era. Combined with our love for Channel’s voice, it seemed like a perfect fit. His voice has a magical ability to make songs that are made for strutting. We felt it was important to keep enough of our sound and influence in the track, to avoid it sounding too derivative, so we wanted to include some 90s and 00s elements to give the song its own character.”
