PREMIERE: Lil Spacely recruits A.GIRL, Big Skeez and Project Peters for heaving ‘Husky’ remix
In late 2020, one of Western Sydney’s finest, Lil Spacely unleashed ‘HUSKY’. A collaboration with fellow Sydneysiders Tasker and Korky Buchek, the rapper’s team of producers, it was a total heater and proved once again what Spacely is capable of. It also highlighted the rapper’s growing vision of where he’s pushing his craft and his fearless approach to off-kilter and hard hitting tracks. Now, he’s kicking off the new year in true style and is giving ‘HUSKY’ a breath of fresh air, tapping some of his most impressive peers for a heaving remix.
Recruiting none other than A.GIRL, Big Skeez and Project Peters, each artist brings their very best to this track, offering up impressive verse after verse to make this a posse cut of epic proportions. From Project Peters‘ afro-dance-house influence to Big Skeez‘ ominous opener through to A.GIRL‘s foreboding switch up, each artist complements Lil Spacely‘s already fierce original efforts. Produced and recorded over the Christmas period and released alongside a music video directed and edited by Darlington Peters, this ‘HUSKY’ remix is a sure sign it’s set to be another big year for all involved.
Lil Spacely said of the remix, “I always wanted to get a remix done for Husky, and after Tom & Peter from Korky Buchek and Tasker started cutting up the beat and playing around with some different elements it all came together. We had A.Girl in the studio working on another project and she was happy to jump on a verse, then I sent the track over to my brother Big Skeez and Project Peters to jump on.”
