PREMIERE: Close Counters put their signature spin on Young Franco’s ‘Fallin’ Apart’ featuring Denzel Curry & Pell

Close Counters and Young Franco

In late 2020, Young Franco released his biggest career highlight to date — which is saying something given he’s remained at the forefront of electronic music in Australia for years now. Teaming up with frequent collaborator Pell, the two made space for one more on a track called ‘Fallin’ Apart’ which was filled by none other than Denzel Curry, and in doing so created an electrifying, infectious, groove-laden track just in time for summer. Now, the producer has gone one step further and tapped two rising names to put their own spins on his original, and we are thrilled to be premiering one of these remixes today.

Courtesy of Purple Sneakers favourites Close Counters, the Melbourne based duo employ their signature funk house sounds to amplify the already seductive grooves Young Franco so effortlessly creates. Upping the tempo, Close Counters use jazzy keys and catchy bass lines to create a dancefloor ready moment. With the rapid fire rhymes courtesy of Curry and Pell kicked into overdrive, Close Counters make light work of controlling the fray, pushing the song right to the edge to make a soulful, funk driven dance cut we cannot get enough of.

Released alongside another remix from Human Movement on January 15th via legends Of Leisure, it’s all systems go for all involved in this feel good dance affair. Hit play on the remix below!
