Melbourne-based producer duo Chores are back for more with another stellar collab this week, featuring rising star DOOLIE for guest vocals.

Off the back of their recent single 'Tremble' featuring LALKA, Melbourne duo CHORES are back for more this week with another stellar new collab. Premiering on Purple Sneakers today, the pair have tapped rising Brisbane-based pop artist DOOLIE for their new single 'Girls', and the result is a total slam dunk for both parties.

DOOLIE sounds absolutely exceptional on this new single, channeling the likes of her inspirations like Dua Lipa or Marina & The Diamonds. Her strong pop roots are the perfect pairing for the electrifying production Chores are laying down, complete with propulsive synths, uplifting hooks and racing drums to make for a frenzied yet still polished performance from the duo. Together, Chores and DOOLIE craft a belter of a song which comes just in time for summer and steadily wound-back restrictions, custom made for sweaty dancefloors whenever we can return to them.

Chores said of their new single with DOOLIE, “Working with an artist like DOOLIE was a dream come true for us, someone who is so authentic and has a distinct image and brand was awesome. We revised the track a few times, but a singer of her prowess meant it was easy to get the results required. Once again, the whole concept was created during lockdown, so we weren’t able to get in the studio together but managed to make it work remotely through collaborative working from home efforts.”

Despite the physical absence between the two parties, 'Girls' showcases both DOOLIE's and Chores' adept collaboration skills, drawing on each other's work while still holding their own. Impressive from start to finish, this one is a total winner.
