Dizzy Fae is on the rise bringing depth and emotion to her experimental sound, and making waves through stunning music and soulful lyricism.

21-year-old Minneapolis vocalist and interdisciplinary artist Dizzy Fae is on the rise, bringing depth and emotion to her experimental sound, and making waves through stunning music and soulful lyricism. As a mixed-race queer champion, she is an advocate for love and human connection as she fights for an all-inclusive world through her songwriting and strong activism. With her first single in 2016 'Colour Me Bad' being premiered on Zane Lowe's show on Beats 1, the artist has shared a series of releases over the years showcasing her talent, which earned the opportunity to support sold-out tours with big names in music including Lizzo, Toro y Moi, Umi, Anna of the North and Biig Piig.

Dizzy's newest music holds particular importance to the resilience of black women in America, especially in her hometown of Minneapolis, where George Floyd was murdered by police, sparking outrage and protests around the globe. Passionate about change in a turbulent world, Dizzy Fae has donated all her Bandcamp proceeds from the first month of sales from her newest single, 'I'm Good', to providing free therapy for black women in the US.  With so much potential, dedication, and talent, there are only big things ahead for her. 'I'm Good' carries us away from the chaos of 2020, reassuring you when times get rough, "Imma be ok". Born in the Coronavirus lockdown, Dizzy reflects on this troubling year and remains high spirited, encouraging perseverance through tough times even when the world feels like it's crumbling around you.

Showcasing a world of different sounds in 'I'm Good', Dizzy melds elements of RnB heard through the smoothness of her voice, channeling the likes of FKA twigs in her dynamic vocal exploration, off-kilter production and thick bass. The artist's lyricism and repetition of the line "Cause Imma be ok" encapsulates the essence of the song, encouraging fortitude during tough times. Delving into the unknown by experimenting with the fringes of different genres, Fae shows ambition and creative freedom through her unique sound. Here to guide us through the fog of 2020, Dizzy's new single is a beacon of hope.

Talking about the deep meaning behind her new single, Dizzy Fae said, "The things you go through sometimes will just never be okay. So I made this song to highlight the strength in knowing some things will never be okay, but you are going to be okay… shit, you’re gonna be good. Healing is a process that starts within, making sure your mind, body, and spirit can thrive within the madness."

So, with all this in mind, what better time to get to know Dizzy Fae? Given it's Libra season and we're all looking for new things, balance and harmony, she's put together an exclusive playlist for us to listen to as we get through the air sign season, steeling us before we head into Scorpio time. With a mix of R&B, techno, house, lo-fi, hip-hop, and more, this playlist is the perfect mix of energetic, down-tempo, and upbeat songs to get us through the funk of 2020 and transport us out of this universe.

Talking about the playlist she has created Dizzy said, "It's Libra season so I've been feeling a shift in not only my environment but also my motivations and where my intention sparks most. I've gotten way more in touch with myself and the stars, trying to communicate with the universe given what information there is already and trusting the process."

"So I’m really into universal signs and these songs have been massaging my spirit during this current shift we're experiencing, which makes sense because I feel like Libra season is all about trying new things. Not all of these songs are new to me but right now this shits hitting me different, and I hope you find a song or many in here that help activate the juices to help you flow in this life shit."
