London indie-dance band Hot Chip are back with a new party single called 'Straight To The Morning' featuring Jarvis Cocker.

After two decades of music-making, London indie-dance legends Hot Chip are back with the perfect tonic to ease those party blues with their new single called 'Straight To The Morning' featuring Jarvis Cocker. Launching us into the midst of a crowded club, this energetic bop is the perfect form of escapism to a world where the party never stopped. Keeping the good times flowing, Hot Chip bring the dance and disco back to 2020, transporting you to yesteryear and into a pandemic free world.

Wildy effervescent and full of radiant synth-pop, 'Straight To The Morning' is invigorating in it's ability to pull you out of the mundanity and into a world of euphoria. With a propulsive beat, we're taken to new heights as pure energy reverberates through your chest. As dancing electronic beats and psychedelic synths flicker throughout, the music sounds very disco with touches of groove adding to this sonic concoction. Bound to get you up and dancing, this might be the universal cure for 2020. With most of Australia under some form of social distancing restrictions, this carefree assortment of sounds takes you right out of lockdown to a time where nightlife is thriving. Being able to replicate a heart racing, fist-pumping, and head-spinning dancefloor through sound is a unique skill that Hot Chip and Jarvis Cocker have perfected in 'Straight To The Morning'.

Talking about working with Jarvis and the vision behind the song Hot Chip said, "'Straight To The Morning’ is a disco anthem about going out, for a time when people really can’t, and it features our friend Jarvis Cocker urging us to go “straight through until the break of dawn.” Somehow he seems an unlikely figure in this all, and we like it that way.”

Jarvis also added, “This was the very last musical session I was involved in before lockdown. It felt very poignant to be singing a song about dancing all night long in a club whilst knowing it wouldn’t be possible to do such a thing for the foreseeable future. We danced around the studio quite a lot in the meantime though. It was fun to be a member of the Straight Through Crew for a day.”

'Straight To The Morning' also comes with a fun-fuelled music video showing a group of young girls indulging in mischief as their parents are away. With a thriving career over the past 20 years, Hot Chip continue to bring forth their infectious energy and love for dance music. With their latest 2019 album A Bath Full of Ecstacy being a global success, and now 'Straight To The Morning' bringing hope to 2020, the band are sure to continue down a bright path with the world of dance music following them along the way.
