Iconic WA music and culture institution Pilerats will celebrate eight laps around the sun next month with a massive party to celebrate in style!
Our WA family Pilerats are celebrating eight laps around the sun this year, and aren't letting a pesky pandemic get in the way of them celebrating in as much (COVID-safe) style as possible with the announcement of a real life live gig!
Come October 2nd, those in Perth and its surrounds will be able to get along to Jack Rabbit Slims for a night of live music (remember that?), and in true fashion, the line up is top notch. With a focus on WA's acts of the future, the acts they reckon will define the music coming out of their home state in the years to come, they've tapped DULCIE, COTERIE, Tether, Lo as well as Pilerats DJs, BEXX and Kid Caird to all come along and help them ring in their next year.
Since they first started back in 2012, Pilerats has become a definitive voice of music and culture in Australia and beyond. Always holding their home of WA close to their hearts, they continue to champion a broad section of music and art through all they do, and deliver some of this country's finest music writing ever. Purple Sneakers and the WA institution have been intrinsically linked since its inception, with many joint parties, unforgettable memories and even one of our editor's first writing gigs for them way back in 2013 all apart of our shared history. So, happy birthday Pilerats — here's to many, many more years to come!
