Flume joined Diplo for a completely ambient 'Under Ancient Skies' set over the weekend

Flume joined Diplo for a night of ambient music under the stars, following on from the release of Diplo's entirely ambient new album.

After releasing his new ambient album, MMXX, DIPLO tapped none other than our boy FLUME for an ambient performance at an event called "Under Ancient Skies: A Night of Ambient Music and Stargazing." Also joined by Rhye, the show is actually in collaboration with The Smithsonian's AirSpace podcast, and is "a series of one-of-a-kind, limited capacity stargazing concerts," according to EDM.com.

Diplo announced the event series back in August alongside the release of his album, which was first exclusively available on meditation app Calm. At the time, he hinted at "one more surprise up our sleeve," and it wasn't until the performance was broadcasted did fans realise one of these surprises was the Australian producer. Flume shared a post on social media documenting the night with videos and photos, and can be seen playing alongside Diplo and Secular Sabbath, on a stage full of plants and candles and at one point, his dog.

This isn't the first time these two have got together with Secular Sabbath. Last year at Coachella over weekend one, the pair were seen attending the off-site wellness retreat which is all about "all about calmness and creativity through the power of music," according to YourEDM.com.
