International superstar Honey Dijon has given us the first taste of her forthcoming album, Black Girl Magic, with the Hadiya George-featuring new single, 'Not About You'.

Paying tribute to the sounds of Chicago, Hadiya George's flawless vocals are the perfect accompaniment for Honey Dijon's brilliant four-to-the-floor house. With a writhing beat, eccentric instrumentation and a warm synth line that kicks into gear just at the right time, 'Not About You' is another shining example of Honey Dijon at once acknowledging the many that came before her in the origins of dance music, while remaining future-facing in her exceptional production. Living and breathing dance music and making it her entire life, Honey Dijon sounds right at home on this single, and if you close your eyes hard enough you might just be able to imagine yourself two-stepping to this one with Honey on the decks.

Released alongside visuals courtesy of Ciaran McCusker (artist, animator), the clip amplifies the defiant ego check that is the core message of the lyrics. Reminding us all it's not about the individual, it's a call to arms to come together. According to a press release, McCusker (who also created the next two videos as well) explained, "These videos demonstrate the gender expressiveness and fearlessness of members within the queer community and their ability to stand up and speak out for their civil rights."

"Honey, the heroine, guides us through the club, a place to lose inhibitions and become free on the dance floor."
