CHASE ZERA - Bring Me Down

I would like to speak to whoever gave Chase Zera permission to go this hard. Coming through with the best song we've heard this week, 'Bring Me Down' is such a MOMENT for the rising Sydney artist as she makes her intentions of becoming the next superstar perfectly clear. It's dark, brooding and enticing, and that hook is enough to have us signing up as fans for life. Can't get enough!

ASHWARYA - PSYCHO HOLE

21-year-old Indian-born Melbourne native ASHWARYA has made a formidable debut this week with her first single, 'Psycho Hole'. It's totally unpredictable and has you at full attention for the entire wild ride as ASHWARYA continually pulls the rug out from under you over and over again. It's chaotic but still controlled, with ASHWARYA comfortable in the driver's seat of this Willy Wonka tunnel. For fans of Billie Eilish and BeneeASHWARYA is absolutely a name to get familiar with.

TENTENDO - Thoughts (Ft. Vetta Borne)

An OG Purple Sneakers favourite, Tentendo makes his return this week with the smoothest single we've heard in recent memory. Teaming up with the ever-exceptional Vetta Borne, 'Thoughts' is a woozy slice of down-tempo future funk dripping in mysterious seduction. A match made in musical heaven, this latest release is a total winner. Let's hope there's more where this came from!

JORDAN DENNIS - The Link (Ft. Jujo)

Jordan Dennis comes through with another home run this week, teaming up with Jujo for 'The Link'. Once again showing his prowess both in his lyrics and on the mic, Dennis wastes no time confirming he is one of the most exciting rappers coming out of this country this year. Following on from 'Doc Marty' earlier this year, Jordan Dennis is quickly building on his existing reputation for unmatched wordplay and exhiliarating energy with this latest cut.

FIRST BEIGE - Not Gonna Feel The Way You Asked For

Brisbane's First Beige return with their first new single since their 2019 EP, proving the wait for new music has absolutely been worth it. The disco-tinged, future funk six piece once again lay down a solid groove for an intergalactic space jam that will be an instant floor filler when the band take to the live stage again. Tapping Pink Matter's Kerry Raywood for additional vocals, 'Not Gonna Feel The Way You Asked For' is another slamdunk from the Brisbane band, and hopefully an exciting sneak peek at what's still to come.

JARREAU VANDAL - My Way (Ft. Col3trane)

Releasing the third single from his forthcoming EP, Suburb Superhero: The Villain Within, Jarreau Vandal teams up with Col3trane for 'My Way'. A perfect melting pot of two brilliant artists, 'My Way' is a funk-filled RnB cut and a complete masterclass in the art of collaboration with both Vandal and Col3trane shining so brightly. Featuring a sample from hit TV show 'New Girl', 'My Way' is all the proof you need that Jarreau Vandal's new EP is going to be something special!

ADELPHI MUSIC FACTORY - Uprising (I Can't Wait) [Human Movement Remix]

Purple Sneakers favourite Human Movement offers up a special treatment of Adelphi Music Factory's 'Uprising (I Can't Wait)', showing there is plenty more where his high-energy singles 'Elevate' and 'Thermal' left off. Pairing percussive breaks with 90s synth stabs, this one will surely be a go to when Human Movement returns to the stage.

COOKII - Coca Cola

Newcomer cookii shares a brand new single this week titled 'Coca Cola'. Written from the perspective of their imaginary life where they're perfect and everyone knows it, 'Coca Cola' is a futuristic slice of hyper-pop that will strike a chord with fans of 100 gecs, LIZ and post-Vroom Vroom Charli XCX. It's their second single from this year and a seriously impressive step up, so we can't wait to hear more!

RUDEBOY E - Cold

At just 17 years old, RUDEBOY E hails from Palmerston, Northern Territory and is making an impressive debut indeed with his first ever single, 'Cold'. The Larrakia man effortlessly rides the trap-leaning beat, employing all the hallmarks of a classic hip-hop track while still keeping a firm forward outlook. This track also has a hook that will stay with you for days, but when it hits this hard we are certainly not complaining!

OLYMPIC AYRES - Planet Us

Purveyors of bops and jams of the highest order, Olympic Ayres are back with another shimmering cut in 'Planet Us'. Taking their signature blend of electronic and live music production, the glittering synths are enough to whisk you away for a moment of bliss, while the undeniable bass lines keep things stomping along. Pair that with some soulful, uplifting vocals, and you have yourself a total winner in 'Planet Us'!
