Brisbane institution The Zoo is getting ready to open its doors again with a special gig series with social distancing measures.

Adored Brisbane institution THE ZOO is getting ready to re-open social-distancing-style next month with a new gig series aptly titled ANTI SOCIAL. Focusing on “embracing change and adapting to new thought process while focusing on and supporting local and grassroots artists," the venue has announced a whopping 15 shows booked between July and September along with strict measures so punters can all party safely.

With Queensland's COVID-19 restrictions set to be eased on July 10 to allow 100 people inside a venue, The Zoo has confirmed these shows will be strict 100 capacity affairs. The venue has also stated a minimum spend of $40 will also be required should you wish to attend, which will be purchased at the time of ticket purchasing. The $40 will be converted to venue credits and can be spent on beverages and merch on the night.

The 15 shows will be headlined by the likes of PINK MATTER and FIRST BEIGE (who are donating profits to Sisters Inside), THE JENSENS, BUTTERFINGERSBUGSCONCRETE SURFERS and more.

The venue staff have stated "At all times we will be working within approved COVID SAFE PLANS, Restrictions & guidelines, while trying to preserve an authentic live music experience," and have directed anyone with any concerns to contact staff. For more information, you can head to The Zoo's Facebook page.
