The first taste from the solo project of Jack Arentz (Kult Kyss), Hii Spirits' 'Get Better' is a breathtaking slice of progressive electronica.

Fans of Jon HopkinsBonobo and Four Tet, we've got a very special treat for you today! We're thrilled to be introducing you to Melbourne's HII SPIRITS, the solo project of Jack Arentz (Kult Kyss, Haxx) and his glorious debut single, 'Get Better'.

Featuring blending pulsing beats with sampled vocals and organic percussion, 'Get Better' is a six-minute upbeat odyssey the slowly but surely builds and swells around you, blooming into a kaleidoscope of dreamy, breathtaking electronica. It's otherworldly as the beats begin to take hold, while the distorted samples vocals keep an eerie, fantastical element at play. A masterful exercise in catch and release, Hii Spirits takes you by the hand as he shifts gears from a somewhat calm rise into a full throttle break, knowing just how to keep the intensity building ever so slightly to make each drop a hands-up-eyes-closed moment.

This is the first taste of the debut project from Arentz, who has spent years working with local and international artists on production, mixing and co-writing duties. It's a bold move into progressive electronica and house, and one that would be an absolute delight to witness in the flesh whenever we're allowed to do so again. Until then, however, 'Get Better' will do us very nicely indeed. Turn this one up loud!
