2020 is set to become a huge year for Sydney producer Dro Carey, who last week premiered his latest double A-side release, 'Clear To You' (feat. Francesca Gonzales)/'Healer'.
The release is another prime example of Dro Carey's ability to create club-leaning music that also doubles up as a silky anthem with a skilfully delivered top line, pushing boundaries to evoke feelings of comfort and poignancy. The collaboration with Melbourne artist Francesca Gonzales was ignited after Dro reached out to her following the discovery of her SoundCloud uploads, which resulted in a sleek, neo-soul union that was formed for the dancefloor.
On the collaboration, Dro Carey says, “I was so happy that Fran was keen to work together on ‘Clear To You’. The beat went through significant re-arrangement quite late in the game but Fran provided many alternates and ideas from her session, which worked really well for arranging and reimagining the track throughout the production process.”

Following 'Clear To You' comes 'Healer', a vocal sample rework that highlights the live and organic elements of the double release. 'Healer' bridges between Dro Carey's more pop-inspired moments and his introspective, instrumental work to generate an overall mellow piece of music.
Both tracks showcase Dro Carey's versatility as an artist, presenting listeners with moments of sheer clarity to level out the indulgent visions of dark corners, as if it were for catching your breath after being on the dancefloor.
