It was an unforgettable night in Brisbane when Flying Lotus touched down for the last date of his whirlwind Australian tour.

The last show in a whirlwind tour across the country, BRAINFEEDER labelhead FLYING LOTUS touched down in Brisbane on January 26th for an unforgettable show. A career-spanning performance that took the packed crowd on a 90-minute journey, Flying Lotus was the captain of the ship as he steered the crowd through the night. Pairing his back catalogue with jaw-dropping 3D visuals, it was one exhilarating thrill after the other.

Even some technical difficulties couldn't kill the adoring vibe of the crowd, and as he closed with 'Do The Astral Plane', Flying Lotus gave just as much love back. Making sure to acknowledge what the day was, Flying Lotus and promoters The Operatives made space for a touching and sombre Welcome to Country after head honcho JPS warmed things up with a stellar set. Bringing music that he makes to life in a way that transfers the he instills in it during his creation process wouldn't be an easy task, but Flying Lotus made it look positively easy as he effortlessly interacted with the crowd before descending further into the expansive, all-consuming set.

From the moment he graced the stage, it was full throttle for FlyLo, but the crowd met him every step of the way as he delved into the madness that is the world he's created in his music. Some may have had some apprehension as to how a 3D show might've been pulled off, but this show was so effective at doing so many remarked how they may never be able to return to usual shows again. Still reeling from this show days after, we are so grateful for artists like Flying Lotus who have the ability to unite so many different groups of people to all come together under one roof raving. Sometimes music can hit home in a special way that reminds you why you love it so much in the first place, and this was one of those nights. Thank you Flying Lotus and thank you The Operatives - this is a show we'll never forget.
