Lizzo took to The Project last night for ten minutes of sheer joy.

Our lord and saviour LIZZO graced Australian televisions everywhere recently with a very special and very hilarious interview on The Project. Currently in the country for a string of shows, both solo and as part of FOMO FestivalLizzo joined the panel for a ten-minute chat that covered everything from her deep love of Australia to roasting Peter Helliar for wanting to learn how to twerk.

Discussing how happy she is that kids are learning how to love themselves as they are thanks to her music, Lizzo said, "I love the fact that kids love me because I'm making music to make us better, make us smile, to make you love yourself. I think children need that more than anything so they can teach the next generation how to love themselves. So I love it." She then joked that she does feel bad for the parents of these kids she's inspiring "because the little kids be walking around like, 'I'm that bitch!'"

Charismatic and joyful as ever, Lizzo was right at home trading jokes with the Project panel. While her tour of Australia might be wrapping up now, the impact she's made while she's been here will last for much longer. From volunteering at Food Bank and sorting food for those affected by bushfires to raising awareness and money for the crisis itself, to more recently visiting a youth music program in Melbourne, one of the world's biggest stars has wasted no time making sure her time in Australia has been very well spent indeed. Now set to storm the GRAMMYs with her debut performance and a whopping eight nominations, let's just hope it's not too long before Lizzo is back to bring us more joy!
