Australian artist Jordan Rakei is the latest artist to be featured in the iconic performance series by NPR.
Australia's Jordan Rakei is the latest in NPR's iconic Tiny Desk series. An absolute masterclass in blending jazz, RnB and expert songwriting, the flawless 17-minute performance sees Rakei take NPR through cuts from his 2019 album, Origin and 2016's Cloak while being backed by a full band and three back up singers.
The Tiny Desk series is much-loved across the world by music fans as it provides an insight into a different side of the artists we love. Rakei joins the likes of Chance The Rapper, Mac Miller, Adele, IDLES, Run The Jewels and many, many more who have all performed for the NPR series.
Rakei took to Twitter to express just how much this opportunity meant to him, describing it as an "honour."

IT'S OUT! what an honour. I've watched over 50 @nprmusic Tiny Desk Concerts and I'm fascinated by how brilliantly artists modify their songs to suit the intimate setting. We had a lot of fun changing it up for this, so I really hope you enjoy! https://t.co/MG3wunFDVc pic.twitter.com/JPyCIoxB8s

Having toured the world extensively, this latest edition of the Tiny Desk series comes as Rakei wraps up his global Origin tour, celebrating his 2019 Ninja Tune release. While we are always down for new JRakz, this will absolutely do us just fine until he returns to Australia again. We just hope it's not too far away!
