Following a stellar performance at this year's Splendour In The Grass last month, Gold Coast brother/sister duo LASTLINGS return today with 'Last Breath',  a track dedicated to someone close to them passing. It's out via their new found home at Rose Avenue Records.

Drifting between dark, cinematic atmospheres, 'Last Breath' sees a continuation of the heavily textured sound they've been solidifying over their last few tracks. They've again struck the perfect midway between pop and dance, giving us a touch of UK influence too in the percussive line.

"There will always be a heavy, haunting, yet beautiful emotion attached to this song for us," the duo said.

"This song is about being born, seeing first light, living and being there for each other until our last breath. It was originally written and dedicated to our parents because of their on-going love and support. However, on the day of recording we were given the shattering news that someone close to us had passed away, so we’d like to also dedicate this song to this once bright light in our world and their family."
