Team This That deliver their bangin' UP DOWN debut festival lineup for 2019

12 December 2018 | 12:41 pm | Staff Writer

As if the team behind Newcastle favourite This That weren't busy enough already, they've just gone and dropped the news of a huge new festival they're launching.

UP DOWN is the name of this one, and it's going down at the Newcastle foreshore. I don't know about you, but when I think about the shore, I think about sun and beats and they've gone and delivered just that.

Sun-kissed beats and tropical vibes collide for this absolutely textbook Sunday session, with a lineup spanning a variety of sounds, feels and vibes. There's your screwed out, wonky bangers from dance punks The Bloody Beetroots returning to Aus for the first time since 2016. Then you've got some of the most forward-thinking club creators Nina Las VegasBasenji gracing the decks, as well as a pop performance from Kota Banks, some slammin' house from MotezSet Mo and everything in between to fill this sonically diverse lineup.

It's a two stage affair with limited capacity to purposefully make this one intimate. What's the vibe going to be like? Well, it's on a beach so think pop-up cocktail bars, street food and a dress code that's beckoning for you to pull out those board shorts, hawaiian shirts and bucket hats.

Check out the full lineup and details below.
