Live Review: G-Funk comes to life in Miss Blank's new video for 'This Bitch'

Off the back of her latest single she's proved she can rock any beat, now MISS BLANKS adds even more potency to her g-funk diss track with her new video

Queen of Brisbane MISS BLANKS has been on a real vintage tip lately. Off the back of her latest single 'This Bitch' she's proved she can rock any beat, giving a biting diss track some g-funk flavour. Now with the drop of the tracks video it adds even more potency to the track, as Miss Blanks channels an old school feel and cheeky pettiness with a smile and blinding highlight.

Directed by frequent collaborator Atong Atem, a gorgeous afternoon in Melbourne turns into a laid back party soundtracked by Miss Blanks herself. With Dugong Jr on the bass, she raps with her live band radiating an infectious positive energy, not looking stressed or depressed in the face of haters, but extremely well dressed. Warm sunlight colours grainy cutaways that make this balcony look like a million bucks and this party look like one you'd beg to be invited to.

The track's g-funk inspirations have also inspired the visuals, bringing the chill kick back setting of a 90's music video into the modern era with an inclusive blend of mates all drinking from those classic red cups. Trippy lens filters and a shifting aspect ratio only add to the loose party feel, contrasted with the clarity of Miss Blanks framed by the clouded sky with her band. Her ease in delivery and stunning makeup and wardrobe practically invites the haters to try it, which should be practically impossible when the finished product is just this good.

Miss Blanks has wrapped a track that would even have the people she's writing about bopping along, with an equally addictive video. 'This Bitch' is a cohesive track and video that just feels like a glorified snippet of life, where you can just imagine Miss Blanks and her crew dancing and forgetting the haters till the sun goes down.
