#SHOTFORSNEAKERS: Keelan Mak

Purple Sneakers has teamed up with emerging photographer Joseph Crackett of ONLY ODD to hand pick and shoot some of the hottest artists performing at this year’s BIGSOUND. The series, titled #SHOTFORSNEAKERS, focuses on Purple Sneakers and Only Odd’s shared passion of emerging artists. Over the coming weeks we’ll be revealing selections from the shoots, shot by Joseph in Brisbane’s Winn Lane.

Today, we’re very excited to share KEELAN MAK.

A born star, Keelan Mak‘s two singles so far have been powerfully compelling and sonically rich, both showing there are enormous things to come from him in the future. Handpicked by triple J Unearthed to perform at BIGSOUNDKeelan Mak‘s name is one to watch thanks to his futuristic RnB-tinged production and his stunningly commanding voice. It was his debut single, ‘Weigh You Down’ that immediately grabbed us with its modern stylings and demanding vocals, and he followed it up with ‘Flicker’, another left-field pop jam that pulls you in within seconds.

Keelan Mak is an exciting force and is an artist that represents the future of Australian pop. Thanks to him, the future is looking brighter than ever.
