Live Review: Kito scores a hat-trick with 'Creature Kind' featuring Broods

Kito has dropped her third killer single in three months with 'Creature Kind' featuring NZ duo Broods - our latest taste of her upcoming HAANI EP.

WA born, LA based producer KITO has been hard at work since reintroducing herself to our ears back in June. She's just dropped 'Creature Kind' featuring NZ duo Broods, as yet another taste of her upcoming EP HAANI which is due in October.

Kito has her origins way back in 2012, when her Fruity Loops demos were discovered by none other than Diplo, who proceeded to sign her to join Mad Descent. After collaborations with artists like WafiaKacy Hill and Tommy Genesis, as well asstints DJ-ing all over the world, she marked her return to production with 'Ego' back in June, quickly following with 'Strawberries' featuring ELLE DUHÉ, TRINIDAD JAMES and KODIE SHANE. With all eyes on Kito, her third single in three months does anything but disappoint.

'Creature Kind' is peak Kito, with her knack for crafting bombastic and left-field bops firmly on display. Crisp and booming percussion fuels a slow burn to a chorus of impeccable hooks and soaring vocals. The track is perhaps a little more minimal than her previous efforts, yet still retains that driving energy and in-your-face production style. The retro-tinged style of Broods slots nicely into the track, offering a poppy edge to a track full of esoteric beats and left-field production.

With 'Creature Kind', Kito has delivered a hat-trick of three solid singles in three months, proving her time away from production was well worth the wait. With a bold new sound and big names on board, HAANI is set to be an absolute monster when it drops in October.
