Live Review: PREMIERE: Edward R. makes his return with 'Paradise'
Making his return in style today, EDWARD R. has shared his first slice of new music in two years with a brand new single, 'Paradise'. Coming in the lead up to a hotly anticipated BIGSOUND appearance a special one-off show, the Melbourne-via-Sunshine-Coast enigma has returned in true style with a swaggering, psychedelic-tinged tune that will make any moment seem like a breezy afternoon.
Dreamy guitar riffs swirl through lush production as the 60s inspired song slowly blooms into a glorious pause in time. Drenched in influences from yesteryear, Edward R. proves his absence hasn't been wasted at all - in fact, this is the first cut of a wealth of new material the artist is now sitting on, and its dramatic evolution from his 2016 EP, Agrabah, highlights just how hard he's been working to make his Edward R. project stand out from the fray.
