Live Review: Val Flynn's 'Stuck On Repeat' is the most aptly-titled song of the year

19 April 2018 | 8:06 am | Jackson Langford

Val Flynn has created a deliciously-addicting earworm with 'Stuck On Repeat' that is both endlessly relatable and electrifying.

Don't you just love when something comes along that is exactly as it says on the package? There's no deception, no trickery, you're not taken for a ride you weren't prepared for. No, you're completely aware of you're getting into and, should you dislike it, you have only yourself to blame. However, when listening to VAL FLYNN's 'Stuck On Repeat', that's a problem you're not going to have. The song will be exactly what it says on the title, and you're bound to love every second of it.

Of course, the song's context of 'Stuck On Repeat' isn't exactly positive. It's a bleak look at singledom, set to the course of a night out that cycles on and on. However, with that being said, Val Flynn dives head first into this glorious pop gem, with subtle club-ready production courtesy of tomtom. The way he melts his perceived monotony of 'living your best single life' with a pounding-yet-subdued beat proves that he knows exactly what he's doing.

Val Flynn has created a deliciously-addicting earworm with 'Stuck On Repeat' that is both endlessly relatable and electrifying. His vocal performance is beautiful, sexy and clear, and the production complements it perfectly. While the single life can get monotonous, it's looking like this song will never, ever be described as such and nor will Val Flynn.
