Live Review: Anna Lunoe continues to conquer with 'Blaze of Glory'

21 March 2018 | 9:55 am | Jackson Langford

'Blaze of Glory' sees Anna Lunoe enter 2018 with fire in her heart, her fingers and her voice, as she gives us a dance moment we've been waiting for.

When it comes to Australia's electronic powerhouses, ANNA LUNOE is easily one of the first names to spring to mind. One of the hardest working people in music, Lunoe never ceases to impress and enchant with her original yet booming approach to dance music and it would seem that 2018 is no different. In fact, after taking her longest hiatus to date to give birth to her daughter, 2018 sees Anna Lunoe back and ready for business with the irresistible 'Blaze of Glory.'

From those opening claps, it doesn't take long to realise that this is some of Lunoe's most infectious work to date. It's a percussion-heavy banger that explodes with fun at every turn. Lunoe's poppy vocal delivery is reminiscent of Lily Allen or Santigold, but coupled with her thumping production she makes sure that she's given it the quintessential Anna Lunoe touch. On paper, 'Blaze of Glory' is a minimalist track but she spares no moment as she makes it boom at every possible opportunity. Not only has she managed to toe this line flawlessly, but she's doing flips, tricks and jumps all the way through.

'Blaze of Glory' sees Anna Lunoe enter 2018 with fire in her heart, her fingers and her voice, as she gives us a dance moment we've been waiting for. The minimalist production is somehow exploding with fun and energy at every possible point, and her voice is completely irresistible. 2018 sees Anna Lunoe on fire and revelling in glory, but she's not going anywhere.
