Get to Know: Night Tales
Comprised of the frontman from Olympic Ayres and Third Floor, Night Tales make dancefloor fillers with an aim of connection.
The frontman of OLYMPIC AYRES and producer THIRD FLOOR walk into a bar... Not really, but they have joined forces for a brand new dance project titled NIGHT TALES, and under this new moniker, they've hit the ground running by releasing some undeniable tunes that will get you dancing in seconds.
After releasing a couple of tunes, it was their most recent single by the name of 'Back 2 Me' that really caught our attention. In all its tropical/disco/house glory, complete with soulful vocals and drops that will make you weak at the knees, 'Back 2 Me' is the perfect introduction to what Night Tales is all about: They want to make you both feel and dance, crafting absolute bangers that will get you moving from the inside out.
Ahead of their performance at THE ISLAND LIVE next weekend, we wanted to get to know them a little better. Amassing hundreds of thousands of plays on Soundcloud and already signed to Majestic Casual, Night Tales is delivering something really exciting into the dance music landscape, and we can't wait to hear more!

Who are you?
We are Night Tales. We’re a Sydney based electronic duo called signed to Majestic Casual
How did Night Tales come to be?
We both have different starting points on our journey making music. In short, we both have solo careers, Third Floor (Aaron Bannie) & Kamaliza. Kam was also the front man for Sydney based Olympic Ayres. Having both worked with head honcho Paul Stix at Undr Ctrl, Stix introduced us together for potential collaborations and thus Night Tales was born.
What are we talking, vibes-wise?
Our sounds is electronic driven however we are not bound by genre. Our debut track ‘Move You’, follow up single ‘Back 2 Me’ and remix of the Swedish duo The Endorphins hit 'Enough' are more tailored for the dance floor, however our next EP which is in the works is more RnB and chilled vibe. We don’t really want to be constricted by genre, instead we just write how we feel the song should be portrayed. At the forefront of what we do is human emotion. We’re inspired by everyday life, particularly personal relationships. People are at the core of what we do.
Tell us a bit about your new single, 'Back 2 Me'?
Continuing the theme of emotion, 'Back 2 Me' documents the push and pull of a strained relationship, delivered in a 90s house, Miss Money pennies style format.
What can we expect from you moving forward?
Have an exciting 3rd single releasing next month called ‘Want’ featuring a feature artist which we can’t name at this time, however we feel this track will really connect with people globally and really cement what we creating with our music project. We’re extremely excited by this.
