Welcome to ‘Rhythm Heaven’, the new single from Third Heaven
You know a song is going to bang if it begins off with a seamless voice welcoming you to ‘Rhythm Heaven’. Could anything else be expected of collaboration between Melty4Eva and Mikudx7 than a high-octane syrup-based banger? THIRD HEAVEN’s ‘Rhythm Heaven’ is the latest release from the incomparable Sidechains and it is yet another example of why Sidechains have their fingers on the pulse and why they will always keep it racing.
Hyperactive is probably the best way to describe ‘Rhythm Heaven’. An almost percussion-like sound of coins falling in an arcade is the only truly natural sound and it kicks off the welcome to rhythm heaven. From then onward, it is the onslaught of robotic voices, altered, pinched, sped up, slowed down and warped over a fast-paced yet arranged beat. While the entire track is an eclectic mix of influences, it’s not overfilled, taking great influence from bubble-gum bass/PC music. It carves out its own niche in steering away from the melodrama of PC music by being purely about the rhythm. Naturally, it is the trap elements of the track that remain consistent and keep it all together, it’s the lines in which the frantic noises constantly blur and could easily be dropped in a traditional trap set to the blow the minds of punters everywhere.
Third Heaven are yet to be slated to play any shows however one half of the duo, Mikudx7, will be playing The Plot on the 18th of November at Parramatta Park in Sydney. Hopefully, soon Third Heaven will be able to shower us all with the sugary spritz of trap. Obviously, it’ll be at Sidechains for all to enjoy and obviously, it’ll be out of this world. It’ll be goddamn Third Heaven.
