Ivan Ooze gives us the lowdown on surviving a Peking Duk tour

Touring the country with Australia's biggest EDM duo seems equal parts daunting and exhilarating, playing to crowds bigger than you've ever played before all in support of two of the wildest guys in the industry. It's a wonder anyone makes it out alive. But, always with gusto and a grin on his face, IVAN OOZE survived just that. As the Peking Duk boys soared across the country for their gargantuan Clowntown Tour, they called in rap prodigies Mallrat and Ivan Ooze to support them. It's a wonder any of them made it out alive, as they played sold out shows across the country, but, with the latter now on the upcoming YOURS & OWLS lineup on 30 September-1 October, he's given us the lowdown on how exactly he's lived to tell the tale.

1. Stay Drunk

There’s no better way to avoid a hangover than a morning pick-me-up before you leave the hotel room. Nobody has time for getting run down or having hella earthquake headaches so your best bet is to swig a lil bit of Grandpa's cough medicine and start your day scream laughing.

2. Eat Well

I’m talking vegetables, I’m talking fruit, I’m talking whatever leftovers ya mama has in the fridge. If you don’t eat well, chances are you’re going to die from alcohol poisoning or worse so always keep some vitamin C, D, A, Z, X and B on you and smash down that healthy cuisine.

3. Forget Your Dignity

Trust me, you don’t wanna get half way through tour and start thinking about all the fucked up shit you’ve done to the point where you might not wanna party anymore. There’s gonna come a point where you might poop your pants or spoget all over the sheets but it’s O.K.! What happens on tour, stays on tour.

4. Friends

Being friends with everyone is the most important of all. You’ll never feel shitty when you can talk about everything to someone. Make sure you always look out for one another so everybody feels the love. <3

5. Have Fun

If you’re not having fun on a Peking Duk tour then there must be something seriously wrong with you. I don’t think I’ve ever laughed so much in my life while being on tour with the boys. Spirits are always high so it’s definitely a necessity to have the best time otherwise why are you even there... ?
