Celebrate the warmer weather with Heaps Gay and their masquerade Spring Fling

16 August 2017 | 11:19 am | Rosie Rae

Its’s almost that time of year again, when the sun starts shining and we get to pull our sparkliest party attire. As the last of winter chill drifts away, our social calendar begins to look a lot more robust. One Sydney party that we are always quick to pencil in is none other than the inner West arts and culture party series, HEAPS GAY, a colourful celebration of queerness, diversity and inclusivity. Queerness and community have always tended to go hand in hand, and community is definitely a central theme at every Heaps Gay event. Whether you’re gay, straight or somewhere in between, gender and gentrification are nothing but alien concepts at a Heaps Gay affair.

This spring’s Heaps Gay event is certainly no exception. Happening as part of the inaugural Fringe Festival, Heaps Gay invites you to grab your feather boa, and best masterful disguise for the ultimate masquerade spring fling. Go on a bend- a gender bend and bring your best friend. Featuring a roster of live artists, DJs and performers, Heaps Gay delivers a refreshing break from the regular old heteronormative party culture.
