In the mood for some sensual, slow riding electronic? Then have a listen to indie-electro king BILLY FOX as he releases a soulful new track, ‘Taste’.
This Sydney based producer has undoubtedly nailed every single one of his releases, first falling in love with his debut single ‘Monuments’ for its spiralling sonic samples and vocals laid down so perfectly into the track you feel an instant friendship between the two. So there’s only high expectations held for this guy to which ‘Taste’ effortlessly succeeds.
The track has been compiled through an epiphanic realisation that your dependence on things are only heightened after they become unavailable to you. “'Taste' is really about only realising how much you needed something when it is gone. Taking things for granted is such an easy trap to fall into, so we need to be aware of the important parts of our lives and treat them with care,” Fox explains. It’s the cold hard truth but Fox walks you through it so gently with his array of sounds that it becomes a lesson, not a lecture.

But he can preach to us any day, with ‘Taste’ becoming a testament to his transitional, smooth gliding electronic music. Being written, recorded and produced all in his home studio, the Sydney lad has created something perfect and personal. His often playful compositions have stuck but this time with an alluring sex appeal that lingers in the background. Gentle synth claps and Fox’s own husky vocals create something that will send shivers down your spine.
In classic Fox style, his production shines through the gentle pauses that are filled with embellished samples; crashing and colliding throughout a glorious 3:15 minutes.

In celebration of this seamless new single he’ll be kicking off a launch show in Sydney on Friday 30th then heading to a city near you with five more glorious shows.
