Live Review: 'Golden To Thrive' is sparkling debut of Melbourne artist Samsaruh

13 June 2017 | 7:18 am | Abbey Lenton

Eighteen year old Samsaruh is a Melbourne based artist who is here to prove that age is no bounds when it comes to creating great music.

We are surprised time and time again that such deep vocals and solidly executed production could be linked to such a young performer. But lo and behold, SAMSARUH is here to prove that age has no bounds when creating great music. Samsaruh is an eighteen year old producer out of Melbourne that has already piqued our attention with her debut track 'Golden To Thrive'.

There is great restraint in this debut single. Obviously harbouring an incredible voice, Samsaruh instead opts for soulful and artful delivery over theatrics. Simply put, she just sounds undeniably cool. The bridge of the song gives us a taste of her airy and piercing range, while the chorus returns to a punching, beat-driven vocal.

Although she makes her debut with 'Golden To Thrive' under the moniker of Samsaruh, she is no stranger to the music industry. Years of writing and performing experience explain the aptitude of her latest music. In fact, while only in high school, the artist performed at Splendour in the Grass.

The industry has a whole heap of faith in this young artist. The lyrics to 'Golden To Thrive' were written by Samsaruh herself, and brought to life by key members of the teams behind Matt Corby and BANKS. She has also worked alongside Australian dance floor royalty such as Peking Duk and Just A Gent.

'Golden To Thrive' is an exciting debut from an artist who has potential beyond belief and talent beyond her years.
