ERIK SANDERS has followed up his hyped previous releases with a film clip and single titled 'Mission'.

Something I have always respected about Erik Sanders is his commitment to production value. As seen again in 'Mission', his film clips are always impressive. There's an attention to quality that can be difficult to achieve in the limited resource pool of Australian hip hop.

'Mission' remains firmly in realm of trap/pop music but takes a slightly darker tone. Sanders addresses the challenges of any young buzz rapper, "When I made this song I was going through the process of distancing myself from the disingenuous people in my life. I was starting to understand who my real friends were, and who were really willing to ride this journey out with me."

Sanders is the latest signee of Sydney rap label WVS that seems to be snapping up rappers all over the country. With support from fellow Brisbane emcee Travy P, he got a start in music in 2011. In 2015, he dropped his debut single 'Stunt'. Earlier this year came 'In The Air' featuring pop royalty Allday. It's trendy aesthetic and infectiously good vibes caught the attention of many, including myself. 'Mission' seems to be evidence that Sanders has the ability back up the hype and really take his music to new heights.
