Tora share euphoric new single, “Another Case”
Tora have released a second single “Another Case” from their upcoming debut album, Take a Rest.
While their earlier single release “Amsterdam” took a more guitar based route, this one is closer to the chill wave indie electronica sound we are used to hearing from from Tora. The subtlety and finesse of their production shows their constant desire of perfection. Sometimes, simplicity can be complex, and this one of those times. Every layer feels perfectly placed absent of any unnecessary noise.
Take a Rest will be the first release in two years from Tora, following their highly successful Eat the Sun EP. Its success is yet another example of the power of being supported by blogs. After being featured on channels like The Sound You Need on YouTube, they have garnered tens of millions of streams on SoundCloud alone with millions more across all platforms. Off the back of this support they toured with Miami Horror before selling out their own national headline tour. They then set their sites overseas touring extensively through Northern America and Europe, playing renowned festivals such as The Great Escape, Fusion Festival and Glastonbury. Not bad for a group from a small costal town.
The Byron Bay boys recently said good bye to founding member of the group Toby Tunis-Plant. On a Facebook post in April they cited Toby’s desire to “explore other avenues and interests at this stage in his life.” So, the newly-four piece will embark on their first tour as a quartet in June hitting dates around Australia and Europe. Tickets are available here.
