Live Review: You'll want to 'Go Unsteady' after hearing Le Pie's moody new single

23 May 2017 | 6:23 am | Rosie Rae

In an age where an underlying sense of uncertainty is almost ubiquitous, LE PIE has certainly captured that essence effortlessly with her latest single. 'Go Unsteady' taps into some poignant feelings of nostalgia and defeat. If you've not yet discovered Le Pie, I can assure you, it's time to get your ears around some of her moody melodic magic.

Sydney artist Le Pie has been going from strength to strength. Having built her profile as part of Sydney's indie scene, Le Pie has made it clear that she's an artist with something to say. Le Pie manages to tap into all those angsty teen feelings, whilst perfectly articulating adult feelings of jadedness and discontent. Le Pie's latest single is the kind of anthem you want to blast in your room, whilst passive aggressively jumping around on your bed. There are definitely some BEST COAST feels on this one.

Le Pie opens 'Go Unsteady' with a gossamer of melancholic female vocals. Built around a simple indie-rock beat Le Pie's sulky vocals are the real centre point of this track. 'Go Unsteady' takes things back to the basics; brooding guitar, understated bass licks and almost punk inspired drum progressions.
