Live Review: Daye Jack and Donmonique join forces for 'Supernatural Remix'

American singer and rapper Daye Jack has teamed up with Dominique for the track 'Supernatural Remix' in anticipation of his new album, No Data coming out on the 24th.

With Donmonique up first on the track, she spits bars over this beat like she was born to do it. For the majority of her verse, the smooth pianos are dropped in favour of the more primal drums, giving her performance a raw feel to it that contrasts well with the rest of the track.

The main vocals provided by Daye Jack are a smooth mix of singing and rapping that blend in with the main chords being played. He shows off his talents by going between singing the smooth chorus to mellow raps during the verse. Daye Jack is a versatile songwriter and singer and that comes through with the lyrical content and his vocal performance.

With simple and sweet production in the form of smooth keys, rumbling bass and punchy percussion, this creates the perfect bed for both Donmonqiue and Daye Jack to shine on. Not too repetitive, the production keeps you locked just enough to let both artists take centre stage, thus being the foundation for what is a truly excellent collab.

'Supernatural Remix' is a blast and brings out the best of all artists involved. We are pumped to hear the rest of the tracks on Daye Jack's upcoming album and we will be sure to keep out ears open for more news.
