Live Review: Rytmeklubben really don't want you 'Like That'

Norwegian 4 piece Rytmeklubben return with timely feel good banger 'Like That,' a sassy quip about relationships that came just in time for president Trump.

Norwegian collective RYTMEKLUBBEN have dropped another certified dance banger, 'Like That.' If you're not yet familiar with the group, Rytmeklubben are a 4 piece that have been shaking up the club scene through the inclusion of live instrumental elements in their shows.

'Like That' is a song for anyone who's feeling unsatisfied in their relationships and it could not have been more timely. The track was (ironically) made on the same day Trump was elected: “It became a very weird day for creating a song, but [that] line could be interpreted in so many ways. Even though it doesn’t relate fully to Trump, there´s something about the fact that even though everyone is entitled to their own feelings and existence, we don’t have to have them as our president (or girlfriend, lmao).”

'Like That' opens with a distinctly nostalgic feel, steel drums and strong early 00s pop feels. Rytmeklubben drive it right back to a contemporary space when they introduce the vocal and nautical sounding electronic layers, and slow down trap style percussion.

We're all behind politically charged bangers if they've all got that Rytmeklubben pop sensibility.
