Live Review: Noga Erez shares explosive new single 'Pity' + announces debut album

Noga Erez has returned with an explosive new single called 'Pity' and a debut album that is sure to make a splash!

Okay, so we know you guys have all been listening to NOGA EREZ for ages now. Her previous single, 'Dance While You Shoot', is probably one of the most badass songs we've ever heard and we've been waiting for a follow-up single to come and blow us away. That single has been delivered and it's called 'Pity'.

As with 'Dance While You Shoot', 'Pity' is inspired by true events. Noga explained that "the song “Pity” was influenced by a sexual assault case that happened a few years ago. What made it even more alarming and upsetting for me was the fact that it was documented by several different people who were there when it happened. People stood by and willingly chose to film on their smartphones and then upload the videos and share them online."

This sort of event is all too common in this day and age and 'Pity' highlights the events in a less aggressive, but still informative way. The song has a heavy beat that seems to puncture your ears and make you feel strong and solid, just as 'Dance While You Shoot' did. The more digital synths and samples act as the technology involved in the song's story and honestly, we couldn't find a more accurate representation of an event like this if we tried.

If there's one thing you should remember about Noga Erez, it's that her music isn't soft. It's gripping, infectious and incredibly passionate. Her songs tell stories that not a lot of people may want to hear, but they need to hear. It's necessary listening, really.

'Pity' isn't the only news we have for you. Noga also has her debut album Off The Radar due for release too and she couldn't be announcing it at a better time.

In a world that has a lot of stories to tell, Noga's album will that the most relevant and transform them into stories that you can get lost in. Imagine an entire album highlighting the issues of the world today in a sassy electronic package.

It's gonna be great.

Off The Radar is out through Inertia on June 2.
