Live Review: Miss Blanks wants you all to know that she's 'Been A Baddie'

10 February 2017 | 7:52 am | Rosie Rae

Resident Brisbabe MISS BLANKS professes that she's 'Been A Baddie' and that she's definitely not sorry about it. 'Been a Baddie' is the fire follow up to her recent single 'Drop it Low.' Miss Blanks is consistently setting the bar high for women in hip-hop, having firmly established herself as an inspirational force that cannot be messed with. Out there making high caliber beats and showing women everywhere that strength and femininity truly can go hand in hand. Catchy, with a pop flavour Miss Blanks represents the iconic millennial woman; woke, witty, sassy, intelligent and sexually charged.

'Been A Baddie' shows a slight change of tune, which is a global banger with a distinctly reggaeton flavour. 'Been A Baddie' is the kind of song you definitely can't resist shaking your booty to. The spooky, electronic sounds work well in contrast with Blanks' sassy tone and tongue in cheek lyricism. Much like the upbeat and hard hitting percussion, Blanks never misses a beat. There's something about Miss Blank's flow that sticks, in the best way possible.

Miss Blanks is consistently raising the bar with her lyrics, and flow. Who says the dark side has to be no fun.
