RICHIE QUAKE, the man who can move mountains, part fields and warp flora and fauna with his infectious, genre-crossing tracks and production. We covered his previous single ‘Try’ just a few months ago and commented on his effortless yet complex ability to harmonise genres, and his latest single ‘Swan’ is a continuation of this exceptional technique.

This multi talented singer/songwriter/producer has swiftly moved onto other influences further demonstrating his signature knack for creating underlying messages. Moving past the emotion filled concept of heartbreak found in ‘Try’, Quake has drawn inspiration from the cult classic film, The Warriors, and found artistic motivation within the concept of betrayal. Quake said of the track, "Swan is about betrayal. Everyone gets crossed at some point in their life, but not everyone has the courage to deal with it, and keep living. Swan from The Warriors had the courage. And so do I."

Somehow Quake transforms treachery into a notion that ain't so bad, with an intriguing introduction of slow backbeats and soothing, transitional lyrics, it becomes overwhelmingly personal all within the first minute.

If you deconstruct the track, lyric from lyric, synth by synth there are noticeable elements that feed into a bigger picture, a beautifully painted masterpiece of breathable electronic and gentle outros of RnB. Quake uses his production style to create an escape, and he's giving you a personal invitation to join him. Open that letter and delve into his sultry, seductive sounds.
