Live Review: Miss Blanks serves sass and realness that'll make you want to 'Drop it Low'

Brisbane rapper, fashion icon and internet celebrity Miss Blanks drops some serious fire with her latest single 'Drop It Low'

MISS BLANKS, aka self professed queen of Brisbane is the breath of fresh air Aussie hip hop never knew it needed. This unapologetic star has been serving realness since the beginning, having already firmly established herself as a fashion icon and a poetic force to be reckoned with. Blanks' raw approach to rap has even garnered some online attention from Queens of hip hop, SALT N PEPA and the YIN YANG TWINS - and she's just getting started.

Miss Blanks certainly knows the recipe to a booty shaking banger. 'Drop it Low' is her latest single, and in true Blanks style it's edgy and shameless. 'Drop it Low' manages to tap into the vibe of early 00s whilst continuing to be on the pulse. The snare drums and a seductive baseline in 'Drop it Low' immediately grabs the listeners, but it's her unique style of sensual lyricism that are her real hook.  Miss Blanks proves less is more when it comes to hip hop production, focussing on simplicity to get her message across. Blanks sells sex and sass like they're hot commodities with a 100% satisfaction guarantee.

It's exciting to see some refreshing hip-hop talent driving the scene in Brisbane. Miss Blanks is definitely pushing the boundaries and redefining what it means to be a femme fatale, whilst dropping some serious lyrical fire. We've got our ears firmly to the ground...
