Live Review: Elizabeth Rose stokes KLP's 'Ember' with stellar remix

When ELIZABETH ROSE first heard KLP’s tropical tune ‘Ember’ she knew she wanted to remix it “ so I hit her up and got cracking.”

When ELIZABETH ROSE first heard KLP’s tropical tune ‘Ember’ she knew she wanted to remix it. “Been a fan of Kristy’s work for sometime now.. so I hit her up and got cracking.” Not just a demonstration of two producers absolute respect for one another, but also that teamwork does makes the dream work, the resulting remix is a shining example of this.

‘Ember’ started life as a Sunday session tropical banger, but Elizabeth Rose has packed the track full of energy. Rose turns the hook from the careful ask of ‘Don’t burn this out’ into a full blown demand, smothering the entire track with an electro edge and wobbly bass. The track becomes more complex but that is the way with Elizabeth Rose; there is a meticulous edge to it, a culmination of elements. KLP’s vocals are distorted, layered over a much speedier track. Synths throughout enter and exit to make way for the wobbly drop however momentum is never lost.

Elizabeth Rose’s remix sees out the year as one of the three remixes of KLP’s ‘Ember’. With Junior Sanchez and KLP herself taking on her own track for a VIP mix. As always, Rose’s remix is a reminder of her production skill and aptitude for a banger-making.
