Salute has remixed Fortunes track '501's'. The English producer creating a rougher and more electronic version of the song compared to the original

salute has remixed label mate Fortunes track '501's', which sees the English producer creating a rougher and more electronic version of the track when compared to the smooth RnB inspired original from the New Zealand duo.

Comparing the remix by salute to the original, you can hear how the track is slowed down to make it seem more emotional and morose, with some darker sounds like bit distortion coming in during certain parts of the song. The soft piano sounds that are mixed in with the vocals at the beginning are nothing short of beautiful, and the way it transitions into the more electronic and harsh elements of the song only adds to that.

The vocals, which are ripped from the original Fortunes. track, sound more emotional. While in the original, the production is filled with funky RnB keys along with funk bass, the tone has shifted to a more lugubrious sound. The tonal shift feels natural; it almost feels like the vocals were meant for this type of setting, and that shows the level of quality that the remix has.

Overall the remix does so much justice to the original track that it's almost impossible to not recommend. salute did a great job changing the tone of the song to be slower and more emotional while still keeping the original elements clear. We hope to hear more soon.
