Artists to Watch in 2017: Muto
Judging from his incomparable originals, his supporting slots with Young Franco and ODESZA and his ambitious nature, we've got our eyes on Muto next year!
If you think that MUTO looks familiar, you've probably already seen him in and around Sydney's huge dance scene. The producer has performed with the likes of Young Franco, Flume and ODESZA, so it's safe to say that this dude has got some big fans.
Better known as Miles Davison, Muto made a name for himself in big ol' Sydney with his energetic remixes and exciting club shows. He has an amazing collection of original tunes too, which is what caught our attention earlier this year.
'Through The Fog' is one of our favourites. Mystical and completely intriguing, the song is smooth trance that's completely stripped back and brings something brand new to the table. This is the sort of music you'd listen to when wandering through the forest, which is very different to how you feel when you listen to another stellar release of his, 'Purple Heart'.

'Purple Heart' features vocals from Drifting Lights and some very infectious percussion. The song does connect to 'Through The Fog' by emulating a very cool vibe, but it's a lot more lively and vibrant than his other original.
Just from these tracks and his other work, we also asked the man himself to create a Guest Mix for our show on FBi Click, which further proved his capabilities are a selector and producer (which is why he also played at our official EMC Showcase we put on with UNDR Ctrl this year).
With his unique production and easy grooves, Muto is going to release some brilliant things in 2017. If Flume, ODESZA and Young Franco rate him, just as much as we do, then you know Muto is someone you should have on your radar.
