Live Review: Corin gives Seekae an ominous new remix

21 November 2016 | 12:20 pm | Natalie Palmer

A rising star in her own right, Corin gets to work in this spellbinding and sinister remix of Seekae's latest single, 'Turbine Blue'

SEEKAE have released a 4-track collection of remixes of their latest electro-banger, 'Turbine Blue'.

Originally an ambient, cinematic-feel jam, these remixes show the masterfulness of each producers talents. From Charles Murdoch's deeper, bass-driven interpretation, to an uplifting, video-game vibe from Swindail, the compilation makes for an interesting collection.

Producers CORIN and Palmbomen II also add fine additions to the package, in particular CORIN's seriously dark version. Keeping the cinematic atmosphere of the piece, a rising star in her own right, CORIN flips the entire feel of the track into an ominous, and almost sinister take.

Keeping in the same vein as her own eerie music, CORIN's artistic and refined approach is apparent here as well. Looping lead singer Alex Cameron's breathy vocals over a growing static storm, the track builds with glitches and synth fires. Building to a crescendo that threatens to break at any moment, CORIN leaves us in the lurch, ending the remix on a cliff hanger. A stunning and sinister remix, this remix will leave you feeling oh so vulnerable.

The 'Turbine Blue' remix package is out now via Future Classic.
