Live Review: Let Baynk and Nika give you 'What You Need'

New Zealand born musician, producer and recent engineering graduate BAYNK is back with another shimmering tune to soundtrack long days at the beach and nights by the bar.

‘What You Need’ is the producer’s latest offering - made in collaboration with fellow NZ singer NIKA. Clean production reigns supreme in this number, as NIKA’s crystallised vocals twirl in nicely with a palette of airy synths. Warped samples complete the overall addictive sound and encourages continuous hitting of that play button.

The track champions BAYNK’s signature downbeat style of electronic music, akin to the likes of KAASI, Nyxen and Mura Masa. A winning combination if you ask me! ‘What You Need’ is a little more ethereal than past singles, such as the house-driven ‘Find You’, but still manages to sneak its way into your head and stay there.
