Nic Kelly plans your perfect Central Coast Weekend ahead of our Heaps Gay Party

If you're 21 years old, are a pretty amazing music producer and are the head of your own music label, then you're already a legend in our books. NIC KELLY has his fingers dipped into every section of the music industry and knows how to "wow" a crowd.

He's playing at our Heaps Gay Party that we're throwing on the New South Wales Central Coast and funnily enough, that's actually his stomping ground. So we thought we might ask him what to do on a perfect Central Coast weekend and here's what he thinks we should do.

FRIDAY NIGHT IN ERINA

"First things first, let's eat. New York Pizza Bar's the spot for everyone. Loads of top notch beers on tap, I go for the share plate of spicy wings & a lamb rack (which even as a skinny dude I can knock off myself) - but the pizzas are also elaborate af and there's plenty of vego options too so the whole squad can get the pre's done there. Afterwards, cross the Central Coast Highway and you're at The Sunken Monkey, home of Proud Mary's - where this weekend we're knocking out a fiyah party with Moonbase Commander, Luen, myself and a bunch of others. Expect big beats, big dance moves & lots of drinks. Coast kids have been craving a party spot for years that doesn't require a 90-minute train trip to the City, and finally, we have it."

SATURDAY BREAKFAST IN LONG JETTY

"A bit further up from the heart of the Coast is Long Jetty - which is slowly being transformed into a typically Coastal half-assed attempt at being Newtown. Still, it has some cute spots if you're into record & vintage shopping after breakfast at undeniably killer café / restaurant The Glass Onion, which will give you all the avocado & feta-based fuel you need to recover from a wild Friday and prepare to back it up."

SATURDAY NIGHT IN TERRIGAL

"I lived right in the heart of beachside Terrigal, 50 steps from the water, for over a year - and let me tell ya - shit pops every night of the week in some way. Saturday, for my crew at least, is the most lit - and it usually starts with pre's at someone's apartment, before a stumble down to the hidden secret Pocket Bar (grab the crusty knob cocktail… refreshing and the cheapest thing on the menu) before a couple dozen vodka & cokes and a dance at Sirens around the corner. Expect to be there until they cut the music a bit before 3am."

SUNDAY HANGOVER SWIM AT SPOON BAY

"This one's a real local secret and I'll probably have a strike against my name for telling you about this but if you want a silent beach to rest your head on where the tourists ain't hitting, try Spoon Bay. It's nestled between Wamberal and Forresters beaches and has some gorgeous rockpools for a quiet swim. If you need food though - hit Terrigal Beach, it's loud and if it's above 25 degrees you won't get a park, but the Surf Café does a killer hot chips + milkshake."

SUNDAY SESH AT THE BEERY

"Over the road from the scene of last night's Terrigal crimes is The Beery, a beachside party spot below the esteemed and fabulous Crowne Plaza hotel. Tkay Maidza, Motez and GG Magree are all names that have hit The Beery in the last few months but whoever's there, you'll always get good house grooves & the best chips & aioli on the Coast."
