Live Review: Made in Paris celebrates the solstice in this enchanting mix

3 November 2016 | 7:01 pm | Lauren Payne

Get to know Made in Paris before she wows crowds at this year's This That Festival in Newcastle with this solstice guest mix!

Pay attention friends because you must know everything about Made in Paris before she blows up. The producer isn't from the French capital, as her name suggests, instead, Paris Forscutt is from the east coast of Australia meaning, that she is one of many home-grown talents that are about to take the world by storm.

As electronica and house are quite common genres circulating the Australian music scene, Forscutt seems to have found a way to make her music stand out by mixing heavy house and electronica with techno layers and intricate production. Her music isn't what you're used to, which is also what's so great about it. It's a refreshing new take on the most popular musical genres in the country with a brooding atmosphere.

If you listen to her EP Dancing In The Dark, you feel each element of the track as they ignite like fire in your mind. They're very active pieces and carve out a unique narrative of nightlife and escapism. There's an attitude to Made in Paris and that attitude seems to pounce when each track comes into its own. We're hooked on this girl's music and so we thought we get her back in to create another guest mix for us on FBi Click.

Made in Paris' mix is going to get your energy surging, which should do everyone attending This That festival this weekend a lot of good. Paris is performing at the festival alongside some of Sydney's best producers and we can tell that she's going to stand out in all her glory.

If there's anyone who's going to absolutely knock 'em dead, it's going to be Made in Paris.
