Live Review: Swick once again brings his experimental A-game to new track, “Offside”

Utterly fearless when it comes to experimenting with dance and club music, Swick manages another creative triumph here.

Melbourne producer SWICK returns with another bouncy banger in “Offside." Rhythmic, dynamic and a lot of fun, “Offside” sees the producer delve even further into bounce, a sound he’s continued to hone over the past couple of months, which continues to evolve with each release.

With chopped up and edited vocal samples, Swick makes a playful rhythm before the rest of the song comes in. Adding more and more as he goes along, the track begins to snowball and bloom, picking up intensity but never veering too far from the upbeat and playful nature it started with.

Big drums, a plethora of eccentric samples and Swick’s signature penchant for more than a bit of bass make up “Offside.” Utterly fearless when it comes to experimenting with dance and club music, Swick manages another creative triumph here.

We picked him as an artist to watch for this year, and he has more than delivered each and every time. Showing no signs of slowing down at all, and on a high given his label founded by Nina Las Vegas, NLV RECORDS, turned one recently, we’re expecting even more to come from the man.
