Live Review: Tyler Touché is Bringing Back the Funk in His ‘New Feelings’ EP

TYLER TOUCHE has just dropped another EP set to get bodies moving across Australia this summer, overflowing with his usual funk-centric signature and a few new quirks.
New Feelings is a two-track EP embracing the gone but not forgotten sound of 90’s and 00’s French disco, whilst injecting that sun-bleached Australian flavour we know and love. Following on from breakout tune ‘Baguette’ and the more club focused ‘Forever’ isn’t an easy task, but the Brisbane producer has stepped up his game with this release, letting his vocals take the spotlight for the first time.
The EP kicks off with ‘New To You’, a bouncy house number featuring the hazy, melted vocals of Tyler Touché himself. The second track, ‘Feel That You’re Real’, delves a little more into the disco side of the artist’s repertoire – armed with a grooving melody and glittery pulses.
