Live Review: Get ‘Carried Away’ in Raf Rundell’s latest single

Brace yourself, RAF RUNDELL AKA SELFIE BOY has just released a second taste from his upcoming album, The Adventures of Selfie Boy Pt 1, and it’s sure to turn heads.

‘Carried Away’ follows on from lead single, 'Right Time', and is just over three minutes of organised chaos in the form of hypnotic piano loops and clanging percussion. The meticulously thought out composition is woven around a story of Rundell getting caught up in a life of fame and debauchery in London, ultimately being carried away from familiarity. Now he’s here to tell the tale, warning us of how easy it is to be swept up in a big city.

The singer/songwriter’s mellow vocals stand tall in this release, providing a moment of solace against the abundance of textures playing in the background. The overall feel is less funky compared to his previous track ‘Right Now’, but still drives home with a quirky melody.

Raf Rundell’s upcoming album The Adventures of Selfie Boy Pt 1 is set to be released December 9 2016, featuring singles ‘Carried Away’ and ‘Right Now’.
