We're really getting into Bonzai and may be getting a little impatient when it comes to her EP.

We're really getting into Bonzai and may be getting a little impatient when it comes to her EP. The Lunacy EP is still on the way, but luckily we've been able to hear some of its tracks as the London-based singer trickles them through the internet. We already fell in love with 'I Did', now 'Cruel' has just dropped and it's amazing.

Opening with soft, distorted vocals, the track already feels compelling. Deep samples roll around the vocals, giving it an almost minimalist feel, something we don't expect from Bonzai proving that she's full of surprises. Soon the vocals overlap some quieter voices and you're drawn into an atmosphere that feels both comfortable, but still eclectic.

Before you've even listened to the song in full you already know that 'Cruel' is a masterpiece. With each portion of the song delivering a brand new package of samples and synths, it's a staggered ballad that just feels perfect in your ears.

Lunacy will be released on October 29 and if you were already keen for the EP after listening to 'I Did', 'Cruel' will make you stare at the calendar until the day comes.
